He was such an amazing cat, always happy, loved cuddling and gave the strongest headbutts when he loved you. After being ill for a week, I had to let him go on June 1st 2019.
Boris has proven to be a very dedicated cat, well as dedicated as a cat can be. He was mostly in a good mood and when he wasn’t, he chose to deal with that on his own. Or by turning he back towards me, which was a very clear statement. Especially that one time when he went to sit outside in the rain.
Boris loved tomatoes. He could smell them from a long distance and always tried to eat them. From the kitchen, from your plate or straight from the plant. Besides tomatoes, he just ate cat food. Which was convenient, anything could be left in the kitchen without him touching it.
The best place for him to sit, was on your lap or at least close to you. Ofcourse it would always be the place where the laptop was, or any other thing that was taking his place. He did not like sitting in baskets filled with fresly washed laundy, but had his fleece blankets.
Often Boris went outside, to chill in the courtyard behind our house. He would hide in the bushes until someone would show up and then he liked to sit with them. When I would go out there to call him to come home, he did not hestate for a moment and ran straight at me. While walking back to the house, he would tell me what his day was like, always excited and happy.
Boris had many friends and fans. This was probably because he would always come out and say hello to visitors. Even people who do not like cats, still loved Boris. Men were his favorite, he would ask for their attention all the time. He had 3 places he called home and he would not mind moving to. As long as he got attention and some food, he was happy.
He had this one friend, actually a wannabe friend, who is called Darwin. Darwin took several attempts to be best friends with Boris, but unfortunately this was not meant to be. At their last rendez-vous Boris took the effort to make it absolutely clear to Darwin at who’s place they were. As being a good friend Darwin understood immediately and stayed put for the rest of the visit.
The best cat ever. I miss him.
